day 1
We all know and love Nashville but let’s visit one of the fastest growing cities just one hour away, Clarksville, TN. Although it’s growing everyday, it still maintains a small town charm. Read below to see how to have a fun and romantic, and dog friendly weekend in my city!
We stayed at The Homer House right downtown Clarksville. It’s walking distance to almost everything listed in this guide and is super cozy. However, it is not dog friendly! So you will have to leave the pups at home if you want to stay here. This guide has several stops that are dog friendly but some restaurants are not, just double check before bringing the pups along!
Friday evening:
Hit up the Thirsty Goat for some pizza, beer, and sometimes live music, bingo, and trivia. There is a large outdoor patio so bring the pups.

The Homer House is located in the heart of downtown Clarksville. It is a cozy and charming airbnb that will make you feel right at home. You will be walking distance to most of the activities on this itinerary. Unfortunately, the Homer House is not dog friendly so you wil have to chose a different accomodation if you are bringing the pups with you.
Start your morning off with picking up Parlor Donuts or walking right next door to Sanctuary on Main for a cup of cofffee. You are also a short walk away from the Austin Pea location of Lifepoint Church.

Saturday:
Start your Saturday morning with brunch at Amsterdam Local. The sandwiches are sure to keep you full while you continue to explore downtown.
Stroll down Franklin St. and Strawberry Alley. One of my favorite shops to browse is Pups & Plants and Mildred & Mables. The owner of Pups & Plants thrifts everything herself and it’s so cute. Mildred & Mables is literally a one stop shop for everything you need. From clothes, totes and jewelry, to local jams and kitchen decor, you’re sure to find everything you didn’t know you needed.
if shopping isn’t your thing, try a class at Art Links or the Candle Loft, or catch a movie at Roxy Theatre. If it’s a nice day out, rent e bikes and ride along the riverfront, or head to Dunbar Cave and then stop by for some wine at Beachhaven Winery.

Sunday
Sunday Funday:
If you’re staying at the Homer House, you can walk right next door to Sanctuary on Main for some coffee or stop by Parlour Donuts. You have to visit Life-point Church while you’re in town! They have a location downtown at Austin Peay or the main church is located off Rossview Road.
Stop at my favorite brunch spot, Yada on Franklin! Everything here is delicious and the service is great. The ultimate Sunday Funday is spent at the City Forum. Do some shopping at Miss Lucille’s Marketplace before heading around back to Varsity Pins for some bowling and arcade games. End the weekend with dinner at Dock 17!
